Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Specialist to join our team in Benin City, Nigeria. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our organization's IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems
• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform regular system updates and security patches to protect against vulnerabilities
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
• Implement and maintain data backup and recovery systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex IT issues across various platforms
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
• Monitor system performance and optimize where necessary
• Provide technical guidance and training to end-users on IT systems and applications
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of network administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and implementation
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proficiency in IT service management tools like ServiceNow or JIRA
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Relevant IT certifications 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging IT trends
