The company is seeking to hire an IT Security Expert who will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's information systems and data against potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
This role requires a deep understanding of information security principles, risk management, and the ability to implement and maintain effective security measures.
The IT Security Expert will collaborate with various teams to assess, plan, and implement security measures to protect the organization's digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
Develop and maintain information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Design, implement, and manage network security architecture.
Monitor network traffic for unusual activities and potential security threats.
Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security appliances.
Develop and maintain an incident response plan.
Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach.
Conduct post-incident analysis and implement corrective actions.
Provide training and awareness programs for employees to promote a security-conscious culture.
Keep employees informed about the latest security risks and best practices.
Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance.
Design and implement security architecture for systems and applications.
Work closely with development teams to ensure secure coding practices.
Implement and manage identity and access management solutions.
Ensure proper access controls and permissions are in place.
Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
Monitor logs and alerts for suspicious activities.
Evaluate and manage the security posture of third-party vendors.
Ensure vendors adhere to security standards and requirements.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
Proven experience in IT security roles, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
