Inventory Specialist at New Age Mobile Concepts Limited

Job Objective

• The Inventory Officer is responsible for supporting the smooth and efficient operation of inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking, stock control, and timely restocking of products or materials. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work collaboratively with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

• Assist in the monitoring of inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock audits and reconciliation.
• Assist with stock receiving, verification, and organization.
• Record and track incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring the right products are received and dispatched.

Stock Organization:

• Organize and label inventory items in a logical and accessible manner for easy retrieval.
• Ensure inventory storage spaces are clean, organized, and safe.

Inventory Data Entry:

• Accurately input inventory transactions into the inventory management system (e.g., software like SAP, Oracle, or Excel).
• Generate reports on stock levels, product movement, and order status.
• Assist in preparing inventory forecasts based on trends and seasonal demand.

Stock Control:

• Track and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Support in the identification of slow-moving items and assist with inventory rotation (FIFO or LIFO).
• Participate in physical inventory counts and assist with the reconciliation of discrepancies between physical stock and system records.

Communication and Coordination:

• Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and other departments regarding inventory needs and supply orders.
• Work closely with purchasing teams to ensure that inventory levels are aligned with business needs.
• Report any inventory issues, such as shortages or excess stock, to the inventory manager.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure that inventory storage practices comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• Help maintain inventory security by following protocols for handling and safeguarding stock.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in supply chain or logistics are a plus.
• Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role is desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and/or inventory management software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management principles, including FIFO and stock rotation.
