    Internal Control and Audit Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct audits in accordance with the approved audit plan and in compliance with internal policies and auditing standards.
    • Perform fieldwork in boutiques, including interviews, documentation reviews, data analysis, and testing of controls.
    • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in financial, operational, and compliance areas.
    • Identify audit findings, recommend improvements, and prepare clear and concise audit reports.
    • Follow up on audit findings and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
    • Assist in investigations of sales and procurement activities, irregularities, or violations of policies.
    • Maintain proper audit documentation in accordance with professional standards.
    • Stay updated with changes in regulations, policies, and best practices in internal auditing.
    • Perform and organize stock-take exercises in Boutiques and report on variances, valuation and control issues/recommendations observed during counts.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Professional certifications such as ACA, CIA are preferred or in progress.
    • 3+ years of relevant experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or risk management.
    • Familiarity with internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT) and risk-based auditing
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
    • Experience with ERP.
    • Organizational and time management skills
