Job Summary

As our Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits of financial and operational activities within the company to ensure accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance. You will play a key role in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying risks, and recommending improvements to processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess operational processes, including project cost control, procurement, and contract management, to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Review financial records, statements, and transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards.
• Identify potential risks related to construction projects, procurement, and resource allocation, and provide recommendations to mitigate these risks.
• Work closely with various departments, including finance, procurement, and project management, to ensure alignment with audit recommendations and follow-up on corrective actions.

Requirements

• BSc in a related field, a professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIA is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry.
• Experience in auditing construction projects, procurement processes, and contract management.
• Will be Required to travel to Zamfara from time to time.
