Role Description

• XPO Marine Services Limited is seeking an In-House Counsel to provide legal, corporate, and commercial services. In this role, the In-House Counsel will be responsible for managing legal risks, providing legal advice to stakeholders, and supporting the company's business objectives.
• This is a full-time on-site role located in Lagos.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law and must be a qualified legal practitioner called to the Nigerian Bar;
• Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in both litigation and In-House Counsel;
• Experience in contract review, drafting, and negotiation especially with BIMCO Contracts;
• Expertise in Maritime Law, Corporate Law, Contract Law, and Oil and Gas Law;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines under time pressure;
• Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
• Demonstrated ability to handle legal disputes and litigation matters;
• Ability to provide proactive legal support to all departments within the company.
