Humanities Teacher (Geography and History) at Cornelia International Schools

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join our school community.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History and Geography to students in grades 1-6.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for learning, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to develop their language and literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality geography and history, aligned with the curriculum.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet national and international standards.
• Deliver interactive and informative lessons to students aged 5-11.
• Develop and assess student projects and assignments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational initiatives.
• Stay up-to-date with new developments in humanities education.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification.
• Teaching experience.
• Excellent knowledge and interest if subject.
• Strong teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Working Conditions:

• Work Environment: The Humanities teacher will work in a classroom environment with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Physical Demands: The Humanities teacher may be required to stand for long periods, move around the classroom, and lift educational materials.
• Work Schedule: The Humanities teacher will work a standard school schedule, with some evenings and weekends required for meetings, events, and grading.
