Job Summary

• We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to support and maintain workplace safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspections, fire risk assessments, safety training, and ensuring compliance with fire and safety regulations across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify Unsafe Acts (UA) and Unsafe Conditions (UC) and maintain accurate, up-to-date inspection records.
• Perform routine fire risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards within the facility.
• Deliver fire safety training for employees, including fire extinguisher use and emergency evacuation procedures.
• Inspect and monitor fire safety equipment such as fire alarms, fire hose reels, hydrants, and fire extinguishers, ensuring they are functional and compliant.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure fire safety requirements are integrated into daily operations.
• Support continuous improvement of health and safety practices within the organization.

Requirements:

• Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field.
• Entry level or minimum of one (1) year relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of basic HSE and fire safety principles.
• Computer savvy with the ability to maintain digital records and reports.
• Good communication and training skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
