    HR Officer

    Our client, a rapidly growing agribusiness in Igbariam, Anambra State is seeking an HR Officer with at least 2–3 years relevant experience  to support daily HR operations, including payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and training coordination. The ideal candidate will ensure effective implementation of HR policies, maintain accurate employee records, handle grievances, and support compliance with labour laws while promoting employee engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Manage employee records and HR documentation, process payroll, benefits, and statutory deductions, and ensure timely contract renewals, appraisals, and general HR administrative support.
    2. Handle employee grievances professionally, support performance review cycles and development plans, monitor workplace morale, and contribute to employee engagement initiatives.
    3. Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies, support policy updates and communication, and assist with investigations, misconduct reviews, and disciplinary processes.
    4. Coordinate learning programs and development initiatives, identify skill gaps, recommend training interventions, and track employee participation and training effectiveness.

    Requirements

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
    2. Certification in HR (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) is an advantage.
    3. Minimum of 2-3 years in human resources or administrative roles.
    4. Experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, and labor compliance.
    5. Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and employment law.
