    HR Admin / Employee Relations Manager

    Job Summary

    • The HR Admin/Employee relations manager oversees HR operational activities for efficient and accurate delivery of HR .Administration processes, providing high quality leadership for effective management of HR Admin functions which delivers proactive results.
    • He/she will also facilitate and manage employee relations on behalf of the company, collaboratively working with the necessary stakeholders to create and maintain a positive relationship between and amongst the management of the organisation the employees.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Create and review HR policies, processes and manuals with best practice that reflect business needs
    • Implement, interpret, provide guideline and communicate policies, processes and manuals, as well as enforcecompliance of HR policies and procedures by employees.
    • Monitor success of implemented administrative policies and suggest areas of improvement where necessary.
    • Supervise and coordinate all administrative matters pertaining to the HR function.
    • Provide leadership in coordinating the activities of the HR Admin unit to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, regulations and procedures.
    • Ensure the effective management and integrity of all Human Resources Management transactions including leave, transfers, salaries and salary payments, benefits administration etc.
    • Ensure the effective management of personnel records and information
    • Monitor overall performance of HR services and timelines to deliver on all HR operations projects
    • Keep up to date with changes in State and Federal Legislation that affects HR practices in the Organization
    • Assist in the conduct of the annual salary and incentive review process, ensuring information is accurate and efficiently processed.
    • Manage the day to day operation of the employee relations function including attendance, leave tracking, vacations and absences.
    • Manage Payroll and statutory remittance Management and employee assisted programs e.g. staff loans, salary advance requests etc.
    • Ensure resolution of employee grievances by adopting methods like counseling, investigations and establishing a panel committee.
    • Drive high performance in the team through proper management and coaching of team members and providing quality feedback

    Employee Relations Functions:

    • Ensure all new hires are properly on-boarded and documented, and all existing staff notified.
    • Ensure that all references of new hire are properly and promptly contacted and adequate information is gathered.
    • Ensure all officers, support and other subordinate team embers carry out their functions as and when due.
    • Ensure proper staff HMO management, liaise and follow up with the corresponding HMOs accordingly
    • Man and manage all exit processes for exiting staffs
    • Ensure all instructions for enrollment, change of plan or hospital and exclusion of employees should be communicated to the HMO on or before 15th of every month and resolve all employee requests regarding HMO
    • Conduct quarterly review of HMO performance; Manage the annual review of SLAs of HMOs (existing and new)
    • Conduct relevant surveys and researches and give report and objective recommendations based on the responses.
    • Advice managers on cases of absenteeism and leave benefits and entitlements, ensuring compliance with related policy and procedure, provide reports on headcount and absences accordingly.
    • Manage employee mobility through transfers, promotions and terminations
    • Manage and monitor probation periods, get employee confirmations from line managers at probation expiration.
    • Ensures all pre-confirmation requirements are completed before confirmation due date
    • Work with Performance Management unit to review the confirmation questionnaire when necessary
    • Undertake and/or monitor the administration of surveys or questionnaire in motivational and well-being as well as the working condition of employees
    • Give report and objective recommendations based on the responses from the survey and opinion poll.

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources, Administration or any other related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of cognizant professional experience
    • Professional membership and certifications will be an added advantage
    • PC literacy with hands on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
    • Basic knowledge of labor law.
