• Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain a clean and infection-free environment.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections of patient rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, and other hospital areas to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Train housekeeping staff on hospital cleaning protocols, safety guidelines, and proper handling of medical waste.
• Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure housekeeping services meet patient care standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linen, and hospital hygiene products, placing orders as necessary.
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding housekeeping services and implement corrective actions.
• Enforce compliance with regulatory and hospital sanitation guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Develop schedules and assign tasks to ensure optimal staffing coverage and efficiency.
• Ensure hospital waste disposal processes align with health regulations and environmental safety standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping team members.
