Job Description

• A hotel waiter is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests in the hotel’s restaurant, bar, lounge, or banquet areas, ensuring a pleasant dining experience while maintaining service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests politely and present menus.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen/bar.
• Serve meals and drinks promptly and professionally.
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Prepare tables with cutlery, glassware, and linens before service.
• Keep dining areas neat, clean, and well-organized.
• Clear tables after meals and reset them for the next guests.
• Have thorough knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and promotions.
• Suggest food and beverage pairings or upsell items to enhance guest experience.
• Answer guest questions regarding ingredients, preparation, and dietary options.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Communicate special requests or allergies clearly to the kitchen.
• Support team members during busy shifts.
• Present bills and process guest payments accurately.
• Handle cash, POS, or room charge transactions as per hotel policy.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensure proper handling of glassware, cutlery, and dishes.
• Adhere to hotel grooming and professional appearance standards.

Salary
N60,000 / month.
