Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified Home Economics Teacher to instruct students in life skills such as food and nutrition, textiles, family living, health, and consumer education. The ideal candidate should be creative, hands-on, and capable of making learning practical and relevant.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Home Economics following the national curriculum (WAEC/NECO)
• Plan and deliver practical lessons in cooking, sewing, and household management
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards during practicals
• Guide students on healthy living, budgeting, and personal development
• Organize exhibitions, practical exams, and home skills competitions
• Monitor student participation and performance; offer individualized support
• Foster creativity, responsibility, and life-readiness in learners

Requirements & Skills

• B.Sc./B.Ed. in Home Economics or Vocational Education
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
• Skilled in nutrition, food science, clothing, and household management
• Ability to conduct hands-on sessions with clarity and confidence
• Excellent classroom control and lesson planning skills.
