Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Quality function
Oversee the implementation of Food Safety and Quality Programs and policies and achievement of quality objectives
Lead and improve the Quality culture across all the Company’s plants, processes and products
Develop and/or review standards, policies, and procedures for all functions and departments involved with or related to the production of all food and chemical products
Design and coordinate the implementation of a comprehensive supplier quality assurance program
Design and ensure adherence to a holistic framework for effective quality entrance control for all raw, packaging and additive materials
Own and manage the consumer/trade complaints process from initiation to implementation of CAPA
Establish, manage, maintain and continually improve the Internal Audit Program and forward/backward traceability exercise to verify effectiveness of the Supply and Commercial business units Quality Management System.
Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders regarding elements related to product quality to ensure facilities meet the required standards
Coordinate with procurement and central quality for establishing specifications and standards for related inputs, process controls and finished products
Develop standards for operation and maintenance of QA / QC laboratories compliant to GLP requirements
Periodically inspect completed quality control checklists, forms, and other documents; randomly inspects and verifies quality control checks for conformance to prescribed standards
Ensure that products released for sales are in compliance with all regulatory and company standards
Ensure the requirements of the QMS (ISO 9001) and FSMS (ISO 22000) system are strictly adhered to
Ensure calibration of all the testing, measuring and weighing equipment under direct control of the Quality Assurance department are carried out regularly
Minimum Qualifications
7 years combined experience in Food and Chemicals industry; minimum of 5 years at a managerial level
B.Sc in Microbiology, Food Science Technology, Food Chemistry, Industry Chemistry or related courses
Certificate in Food Safety Management System
Excellent communication skills (including written, oral and presentation skills)
