Head of Operations at Uppercrest Limited

Job Profile

We are currently recruiting for the position of a Head of Operations (HOO) in the telecommunications sector, and excited to have an experienced candidate join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implementation of projects according to the approved budget.
• Setting targets for the operational units by breaking down the high-level strategic goals into targets and allocating targets for each unit.
• Monitoring and evaluating monthly key performance indicators of operational processes and optimizing/improving the processes.
• Creation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting tracks on all operational areas about the projects at hand
• Coordination of different operational units/divisions towards a common goal and defining general conditions for the operations.
• Follow up, evaluation, and performance appraisal on teams.
• Reviewing clients\' concerns and complaints, and acting upon the complaints
• Participates in and promotes a positive, supportive, cooperative team environment.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings, trainings, classes, and supervision.
• Monitors costs and ensures expenses are within the allocated budget.
• Evaluates field staff and quality of work through personal inspections & other means.
• Analyses resource requirements, acquires, monitors, and makes suggestions or improvements accordingly. Resources include, but are not limited to, Human, tools, equipment & operational vehicles.
• Ensures that site security is well managed, monitored, and updated based on the risk levels of the site.
• Reduce Opex by applying a holistic approach to cost baselining and to initiatives prioritization and design.
• Build Capabilities in the procurement function to enable clients to realize cost savings across various categories.
• Assumes project management from concept to implementation phase for telecommunications initiatives; routine inspection and audit of service standards to maintain the highest quality of service.
• Managing Passive network activities through the regional Managers, NOC, and PPM coordinator.
• Performance management and appraisals of the Regional Manager, team leads and field support engineers based on set key performance areas. 
• Accountable for every phase in any project life and ensures proper synchronization between each project to operational phase were necessary.
• Carryout regional performance meeting with the RMs monthly.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Must have more than 7years of experience in the Telecoms industry
• Multi-task person, be well organized, and have the ability to work well under pressure.
• Must be outspoken and able to present and defend the company to the customer
• Having certification in PMP is an added advantage
• Must be comfortable with handling multiple projects and assignments with strict deadlines.
• Team leader, ability to negotiate - Decision maker, can work independently
• Must be very good in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
