    Head of Marketing and Brand Communication

    Job Summary

    The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that enhance Wellspring College’s brand visibility, drive student enrolment, and strengthen stakeholder engagement. The role oversees all marketing, communications, and brand management activities to position the College as a leading institution within Nigeria and beyond.

    Key Responsibilities

    Marketing Strategy & Planning

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the school’s growth objectives
    • Lead annual and termly marketing plans, campaigns in line with the approved budgets
    • Conduct market research to understand parent expectations, competitor positioning, and industry trends

    Brand Management

    • Develop, track and implement marketing communications plans
    • Maintain and enhance the Wellspring College brand identity across all platforms
    • Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual representation
    • Position the College as a premium, value-driven institution

    Enrolment & Admissions 

    • Drive student recruitment campaigns (online and offline)
    • Work closely with the admissions team to improve conversion rates
    • Monitor and optimize the admissions process from inquiry to enrolment

    Digital Marketing & Communications

    • Oversee website, social media, email marketing, and digital advertising
    • Track performance metrics (engagement, leads, conversions)
    • Manage content creation (stories, newsletters, videos, testimonials)

    Events & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Plan and execute school events (open days, exhibitions, fairs, community outreach)
    • Strengthen relationships with parents, alumni, and external partners
    • Manage public relations and media engagement

    Team Leadership

    • Lead and supervise the marketing team 
    • Set performance targets, provide coaching and direction
    • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources

    Reporting & Analytics

    • Provide regular reports on marketing performance and ROI
    • Use data to refine strategies and improve outcomes
    • Track competitor activity and industry benchmarks

    Key Deliverables

    • Annual marketing strategy and execution plan
    • Increased student enrolment and retention rates
    • Improved brand visibility and engagement metrics
    • Successful execution of key school events
    • Monthly marketing performance reports

    KEY COMPETENCIES (JOB SPECIFICATION)

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field
    • Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in marketing, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
    • Experience in education, services, or brand-driven organizations preferred
    • Proven track record of executing successful marketing campaigns
