    Head of Discipleship / Spiritual Development

    • The Head of Discipleship/Spiritual development will be responsible for optimizing all the opportunities for spiritual formation in the Church by nurturing and edifying the members of the congregation. The discipleship lead will also design, oversees and administers spiritual development opportunities.
    • They will help members to grow in their faith, to grow in maturity and wisdom, and build their faith on a strong foundation so that they can then disciple and lead others towards achieving the goal/objective of the church and report directly to Senior Pastor.

    Job Description

    Leadership - Ministry & Maturity

    • Provide leadership and coordinate effectively and efficiently Ministry, and Maturity teams by developing plans, objectives, programs and processes as well as provide support that helps to achieve the mission of these teams.
    • Will be responsible for the growth, development, management, and expansion of the volunteer workforce.
    • Creating serving opportunities and deploying them to fill these positions.
    • Develop and recruit leaders and volunteers to serve on ministry teams.
    • Coordinate the staffing and work of church committees

    Strategy/system

    • You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, structures, systems and processes that enable the all-round growth of team members.
    • Ensure departmental small groups are created and functional within the workforce. Also liaises with the Small Groups Coordinator to achieve set goals.
    • Responsible for a viable, vibrant and enviable workforce, providing adequate support and guidance to the respective ministries.

    Project Planning, Execution & Monitoring

    • Responsible for coordinating all activities of Maturity and ministry team by providing guidance and direction. You will guide the work of these teams, including yearly planning and presiding at its meetings.
    • constantly evaluating results and strategies so as to deliver on the objectives of the teams.
    • Ensure and facilitate the submissions of reports by subordinate offices in respect to and not limited to progress made on projects, plans and programs to Director Church Ministry.
    • Also maintain and update the workforce database.

    Talent sourcing & discovery

    • Discover, train, and deploy new members serve in the church.
    • Also review and conduct periodic performance checks.
    • Responsible for the training and deployment of leaders.
    • Manage people issues, conflicts etc.

    General Pastoral Duties

    • Provide Biblical counseling.
    • Attend staff meetings.
    • Attend worship services.
    • Oversee the budget for the discipleship ministry of the church.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pasto

    Qualification / Requirement

    • HND/BSc/MSc in Theology, Human resource or any other related program
    • Atleast 5-10 years of relevance work experience in a faith-based organization or NGO or any other related institution
    • A committed born-again Christian, with a personal and active relationship with God.
    • Must have worked in any managerial role before
    • Must have valid ability to work within budgetary constraints.
    • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • An effective, collaborative team leader who is able to mobilize and bring the best out of the team they work with.
