Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Civil Engineering to lead and manage all civil engineering projects within the organization.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning, design, execution, and delivery while ensuring quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
• This role requires a strong technical background, leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple construction projects within timelines and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Supervise site activities to ensure projects are executed according to specifications and standards.
• Manage and coordinate engineers, contractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, building regulations, and safety requirements.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and human resources.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on project-related matters.
• Oversee quality control processes to ensure high construction standards.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and performance evaluations for management.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and construction.
• Professional certification (e.g., COREN) is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
• Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and other design tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
