    Head of Administration

    Description

    Our client, a leader in the Telco Industry is seeking to fill the position of Head of Administration.

    The head of admin will contribute to long-term profitability and sustainability by overseeing the provision of cost-effective and highly efficient non-finance support services to the organisations business units. These support services will include Human Resources & Administration, Finance & Accounts, Marketing Brand & Corporate Communications, and Technical Procurement.

    Responsibilities:

    • Advise and provide insights to the GCEO and Board on the formation, development, and application of policy and strategic decisions relating to Corporate Support Services.
    • Ensure the establishment of strategies and plans to ensure effective management of the company’s human, physical, and technology resources to ensure maximum utilisation and the delivery of efficient, effective, and high-quality service.
    • Oversee the institutionalisation of a culture of customer focus and high performance across the organisation's support functions.
    • Coordinate the process of developing and monitoring the delivery of annual budgets for the organisations Support functions.
    • Recommend to the Senior Management team and make the business case for the most effective and cost-beneficial delivery model for providing Corporate Support Services (including outsourcing options) to achieve the company’s strategic ambitions and targets.
    • Agree on strategy execution performance targets and evaluate the performance of subordinate functional unit heads, and work to create an enabling environment to facilitate delivery on individual and team targets.
    • Engage with the Board and Senior Management team to facilitate the provision of the required resources and decision-making traction on initiatives within the support group.
    • Liaise with Management to review and approve all policies and procedures for the Group Support Services functions (HR, Admin, Finance & Accounts, marketing brand, and corporate communications, general and technical office procurements) in line with leading practice and standards.
    • Liaise with Legal & Regulatory Compliance to define contractual terms and conditions and employ best practice in vendor contracting and negotiating to minimise risk exposure and maximise value.

    • Excellent research and report writing skills
    • Ability to plan and work strategically, proactively, and independently.
    • Consistency/reliability.
    • Effective use of Microsoft Office
    • Conflict resolutions
    • Excellent communication and administrative skills.
    • The ability to multitask and work under pressure
    • Understanding of legal issues, including governance and legal compliance
    • Understanding of the telecom service industry
    • Knowledge of conflict management
    • Knowledge of the Labour laws
    • Deep understanding of ethical rules and laws
    • Excellent analytical skills

    Education Requirements

    • Retired from the army with experience in Administration/Operations (Rose to the point of colonel, brigadier and above)
    • Minimum of first degree in a relevant Social Science or Business degree or any related discipline
    • An MBA or a Master’s in any related discipline
    • Professional certifications and other relevant certifications such as Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, or membership of the Nigerian Institute of Management will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of twenty (20) years’ cognate experience in a related field with at least 10years spent at a Senior Management level
