    Head, Maintenance

    The Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartments (TWCH&A) is a luxury hotel offering guests a perfect blend of relaxation, business, and pleasure, delicately infused to meet the highest international standards. It is located in Asokoro District, in Abuja.

    The ideal candidate is required to ensure excellent maintenance of the buildings, infrastructure and the overall appearance of our hotel. Your role comprises overall maintenance and upkeep of the hotel building's infrastructure and exterior. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and act on complaints on a timely basis.
    • Identify ways to conserve energy and reduce facility operating costs.
    • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
    • Prepare the department’s budget and ensure it is being followed.
    • Maximise the maintenance team’s potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests, employees, and the Board’s satisfaction.
    • Ensure property grounds, physical plant and work areas are maintained to standard and that all safety equipment conditions are to up to code.
    • Develop routine and preventative maintenance strategies to ensure that the entire facility is kept operational.

    The candidate should possess the following:

    • Familiarity with the inner workings of a hotel (e.g. plumbing, electrical, ac/refirgeration, sewer).
    • Experience in administrative processes (e.g. budgeting, performance management).
    • Ability to identify maintenance risks and quickly develop a plan of action.
    • Problem-solving aptitude, particularly under pressure.
    • Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
    • Detail-oriented and an eye for perfection.
    • Ability to work long hours on your feet.
