    Head, Lease

    Job Summary

    • The Head, Lease will manage various functional areas, including strategy, sales, operations, technology, policy compliance, budgeting, and reporting within the Lease department.
    • This includes reviewing sales processes, optimizing operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
    • The successful candidate will supervise professional and clerical staff, assigning and evaluating work, initiating discipline, counseling, training, hiring, setting targets, and ensuring goal achievement.
    • The Head of Lease carries the overall responsibility for meeting Lease Sales department targets and prepares reports for management/board in compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborate with internal teams to provide critical business insights.
    • Define and implement effective sales, marketing, operational, and business development strategies to optimize
    • sales and profitability.

    Innovation and Monitoring:

    • Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate innovative sales ideas and strategies.
    • Stay updated on supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

    Performance Management:

    • Manage personal and departmental activities to align with set goals and targets, ensuring compliance with
    • organizational policies and standards.


    Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:

    • Generate lease leads and Business support loans, overseeing efficient consummation.
    • Foster partnerships and relationships with key customers, both externally and internally.
    • Stay informed about marketing activities and regulatory requirements relevant to the company's business.

    Market Research and Expansion:

    • Conduct in-depth research to identify new market opportunities and consumer preferences.
    • Work with Branch Managers to coordinate sales efforts, aligning them with marketing strategies.

    Operational Efficiency and Compliance:

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to established operating protocols.
    • Conduct proper searches and background checks to meet transaction requirements.

    Legal and Financial Oversight:

    • Ensure legal and necessary documents meet requirements before submission for transaction booking.
    • Assist the legal department in providing advisory support across all operational aspects.

    Risk Management:

    • Work with Head, Credit Control to minimize transaction risk exposure.
    • Oversee legal, regulatory, and policy compliance.
    • Generate profitable Finance Leases, ensuring upselling and cross-selling of company products.

    Team Development and Management:

    • Provide proper training, orientation, and product knowledge to team members.
    • Onboard and manage subordinates to maintain consistently high performance and prospect conversion rates.

    Sales Optimization and Analysis:

    • Review and approve sales team reports, new Prospects List, weekly call memos, Credit Analysis memos, etc.
    • Visit and engage prospects, analyze needs, propose services, and manage them through the booking process.

    Debt Recovery and Market Analysis:

    • Support continuous debt recovery efforts to prevent default rates exceeding acceptable limits.
    • Conduct competitor analysis, reviewing product rates and requirements.
    • Any other task as assigned by the Line Manager

    Key Performance Indicators

    • Sales profit generated
    • % Cost of sale
    • % of Newmarket penetration/marketshare
    • % of Sales policies initiated and implemented vs level of effectiveness
    • % Rate of Client Acquisition and Customer retention.
    • % Sales growth/Volume of Sales by Products
    • % Quality of engagement for Existing Clients
    • % Upsell/Cross-Sell Rates
    • % Customer satisfaction improvement
    • % Net Promoter Score (NPS).

    Requirements

    • Minimum of First Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or any related field
    • Post-graduate qualification(s) and professional membership will be an added advantage.
    • 7+ years of experience in Sales and business development
    • Proven experience working in a managerial level, within a leasing or a related sector.
    • Preferably in corporate lease or general sales role
    • Commitment to continuous education through trainings, workshops, seminars and conferences.
