    Head, Human Resource Operations (West)

    Industry:  Construction

    Objectives 

    The Lead Human Resource Operations (West) is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the HR Operations at our various site locations in the west.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design and implement recruitment activities (vacancy identification, advertisement, candidate screening, testing, interviewing, etc.) as defined in the approved framework and plan for internal & external clients.
    • Coordinate with site managers to identify manpower needs and close gaps quickly.
    • Lead pre-employment checks, onboarding, and orientation for new hires at sites.
    • Ensure timely documentation of HR letters, memos, warnings, and policy enforcement.
    • Coordinate staff deployment and mobility across sites.
    • Monitor employee adherence to labor laws, safety guidelines, and company policies.
    • Lead investigations, manage disciplinary actions, and support conflict resolution.
    • Keep updated records of statutory documentation (NHF, NSITF, ITF, PENCOM, etc.)
    • Promote positive workforce culture, engagement programs and grievance handling.
    • Support employee welfare initiatives and recognition programs.
    • Coordinate quarterly and annual performance appraisals for employees.
    • Track performance issues, training needs, and development interventions.
    • Provide reports and insights to client and internal management.
    • Act as liaison between client’s project leads and the Organization.
    • Manage & handle Toolbox meetings bi-weekly with all site HR Officers.
    • Monitor, handle, and supervise HR operations across all site locations
    • Overseeing health and safety policies and practices at site locations.
    • Provide your daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the CEO, and copy Lead, Human resources business Partner.
    • Handling staff complaints, and grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.
    • Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures, and absence management

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience in outsourcing, construction, or similar industry.
    • Good knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and HR software.
