    Head, Commercial

    Job Description

    • As the Head of the Commercial Department, you will play be the Chief Revenue Officer of the organization with direct responsibility for developing and implementing strategies to deliver on the organization’s revenue targets.
    • Leading a multidisciplinary team of professionals, you will drive sales growth, design and implement a leading edge customer experience and enhance awareness of the corporate brand through an engaging and effective marketing and communication strategy.
    • This position requires a deep understanding and experience of the industry and the ability to communicate complex medical information in a clear and compelling manner.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets, with a primary focus on diagnostics, laboratory, or pharmaceutical sectors.
    • Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain strong customer relationships, and promote our products and services effectively.
    • Develop and implement brand strategies and campaigns, overseeing the development of marketing materials (for digital and non-digital channels), including sales presentations, brochures, and digital content, to support sales activities and enhance brand visibility and engagement with target audience
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and potential market opportunities, providing valuable insights for business development.
    • Utilize CRM systems to track and manage sales leads, customer interactions, and sales performance data, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.
    • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing communication efforts, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results and drive customer engagement.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in diagnostics, laboratory, or pharmaceutical sectors, and share relevant insights with the team.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's degree in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Mass Communication, Journalism, Management Sciences, or related fields. A relevant advanced degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales within the diagnostics, laboratory or pharmaceutical industries, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Management level experience in brand management, marketing/communications and/or customer service will be an added advantage.
    • In-depth knowledge (covering commercial aspects, industry regulations and market dynamics) in any of the following sectors:
      • Fertility/assisted reproduction
      • Pharmaceutical
      • Diagnostics
      • Laboratory
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
    • Highly motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • In view of the multi-disciplinary nature of the role, knowledge and experience in 1 or more of the underlisted areas will be an added advantage
      • Marketing and corporate communications/media management
      • Customer Relation Management (CRM)
      • Brand management
