This role is for a seasoned tax professional who thrives in a dynamic and complex environment.
Group experience is non-negotiable, with experience in navigating the ever-changing tax climate and handling tax functions in all jurisdictions where the Group’s subsidiaries are located, locally and internationally, to optimize the tax costs and ensure tax compliance.
Coordinate and liaise with tax authorities in all our business locations.
Develop and manage tax policy manual.
Implement and maintain effective tax procedures across the Group, ensuring compliance by subsidiaries.
Advise the Group on the implications of changes to tax laws and regulations.
Provide insightful analysis of potential tax implications of business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Review inter-company agreements and transfer pricing documentation to ensure they are at arm’s length.
Requirements Experience:
15 – 18 years’ experience.
Must have worked with a large corporate/conglomerate and/or tax consulting arm of the big 4 firms.
Core competencies:
Good knowledge of group accounting, IFRS, tax laws and regulations.
Information technology skills. Practical knowledge of ERP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
Must be a chartered accountant and member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
