• The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy to a local execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. • As the Go-To-Market (GTM) Manager for App Innovation, you will be at the forefront of driving our go-to-market strategies, leading a team, and shaping marketing success. You’ll act as a thought leader, developing marketing strategies that align with our business goals. Your ability to track success criteria and performance metrics will be crucial in driving impactful outcomes. You will be working with emergent technology requires simplifying complex concepts. You’ll excel at creating alignment across teams, removing roadblocks, and ensuring seamless execution.

Responsibilities
As a Business Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and market success. Here are your key responsibilities:

• Partnership for GTM: Collaborate closely with various business areas to drive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for aligned Solution Plays. Your focus will be on identifying growth opportunities in the market and creating clear execution plans. You will influence and coach field teams, sales operations, and marketing plans. Your expertise will be crucial in converting strategic priorities into effective local execution and partner across Microsoft core teams to ensure that the voice of the field is integrated into strategy development and program design.
• You will land and champion solution plays, ensuring connected sales and marketing execution across all segments and collaborate closely with partner teams to develop local partner-led marketing strategies and demand generation initiatives that support solution play performance while championing Microsoft’s strategy and Solution Areas, building a strong industry presence.
• As a Product Leader, you will shape the success of our offerings and advocate as the voice of the Customer, Partners, and Field. Provide thought leadership on competitive landscape, solution area gaps, sales trends and your insights will drive improvements in our GTM plan as you grow organizational capability by providing true insights, learnings, and identifying blockers for leaders, managers, and sellers and implement standardized rhythms and tools that increase customer and partner-facing time for sellers by activating leaders and managers by optimizing investments and resources, leveraging data-driven analysis.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

• You must be able to demonstrate your experiences of extensive marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work involvements.
• You must have experience taking products to market in new technology categories.
• You must be able to work a mandatory 4 days a week in either of our offices in Johannesburg OR Cape Town.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

• You have sales/ go-to-market (GTM) experience with a software development background (DevOps, GitHub, Agile, etc) – You will ideally have a good balance of GTM AND Technical experience (somewhere around a 60:40 split acts as a good guide)
• Your strong stakeholder management skills are easy to identify, in terms of both influencing peers to drive projects forward and senior leadership engagements
• You’re somewhat of a technical evangelist and may have had GTM experience with Tech start-ups. You probably enjoy speaking publicly about it.
• If you have an MBA, you’ll stand out but it’s not an absolute requirement. Maybe it’s on your radar?
• You’re a problem solver, an out-of-the-box thinker and are creative when it comes to deploying your solid technology knowledge. Cloud computing is particularly important to you because you understand the importance of its digital evolution.
• Your understanding of Microsoft Azure services will be an advantage (ideally confirmed by certifications like Azure Fundamentals, Azure AI Fundamentals and Azure Data Fundamentals)
• Your experience in working in cross-regional roles will be a positive.
