Product & Customer Research Lead at Veraclins Tech Solutions

The Product & Customer Research Lead is a full-time, hybrid role based in Abuja (mostly remote, with in-person interviews, fieldwork, and team sessions as needed). You'll help us decide what to build, who to build for, and what customers will actually pay for, grounded in market evidence rather than internal opinion. Day to day: plan and run customer discovery; interview SMEs, accountants, educators, students, recruiters, and business owners; and dig out urgent pain points, buying triggers, current alternatives, budget owners, and willingness to pay. You'll design surveys, interview guides, concept tests, and prototype sessions; turn findings into requirements, journeys, and MVP scope with the PM and designer; and produce concise briefs with clear calls: build, narrow, pause, or kill. You'll also support pricing and competitor research, build a reusable research repository, and work with GTM/BD to find design partners and pilot customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in product research, user research, customer discovery, product management, market research, or strategy.
• Demonstrated experience running customer interviews and turning insights into decisions.
• Strong instinct for separating interesting feedback from real buying intent.
• Excellent written communication: clear briefs, summaries, and recommendations.
• Comfortable speaking with business owners, operators, professionals, students, and non-technical users.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian market behavior, especially SMEs, education, finance, recruitment, and professional services.
• Able to work independently with minimal structure.
• Fluent with AI tools for research prep, transcription analysis, synthesis, survey drafting, and competitive research.
• Based in Abuja (hybrid role, mostly remote).

Nice to have

• Experience validating early-stage products or MVPs;
• A background in B2B SaaS, fintech, edtech, tax/compliance, SME tools, or recruitment; 
• UX research or product management experience. 
• A degree is welcome but not required; equivalent practical experience counts.
