    General Manager, Operations and Business Developer

    Job Summary

    • The General Manager will oversee daily operations and drive business growth for the real estate and construction arm of the company.
    • This role combines strategic planning, project execution, revenue generation, and stakeholder management to ensure profitability, efficiency, and long-term expansion.

    Key Responsibilities
    Operations Management:

    • Oversee end-to-end construction and real estate project execution (planning, budgeting, timelines, and delivery).
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety policies, and quality control procedures.
    • Supervise project managers, engineers, contractors, and site teams.
    • Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Monitor procurement, logistics, and resource allocation.

    Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities (land acquisition, property development, partnerships).
    • Develop and implement growth strategies for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
    • Build and maintain relationships with investors, clients, government agencies, and partners.
    • Lead contract negotiations, tenders, and bids for new projects.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and investment opportunities.

    Financial Oversight:

    • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
    • Ensure profitability of projects and overall business unit.
    • Monitor cash flow, cost control, and return on investment (ROI).
    • Collaborate with finance teams on funding, project financing, and cost analysis.

    Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and execute short-term and long-term business plans.
    • Align operational activities with company goals and market demands.
    • Drive innovation in construction methods, technology adoption, and real estate offerings.
    • Represent the company in high-level meetings, negotiations, and industry events.

    Team Leadership & Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and evaluate staff across operations and business development teams.
    • Set KPIs and performance targets.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

    Risk & Compliance Management:

    • Identify operational and financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with local building regulations, environmental standards, and legal requirements.
    • Manage contracts, legal documentation, and dispute resolution.

    Key Requirements
    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field.
    • MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is an advantage.

    Experience:

    • 8–15+ years of experience in real estate and construction.
    • Proven track record in project management and business development.
    • Experience managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
