    Fleet Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Monitoring of Driver's journeys with online Real-time Tracking tools to ensure compliance with laid down Safety and Operational Guidelines.
    • Planning and Management of ALL journeys in line with company policies.
    • Pre-trip and Post-trip journey briefing and debriefing with Drivers, defining routes, turn–around time, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring drivers sign off on debrief.
    • Ensuring that Tracking Devices installed in all vehicles are functioning.
    • Review, Record, and Monitor Truck Mileage per trip with the use of the driver's Log Book and online Tracking tools and escalate all observed exceptions.
    • Monitoring of Driver’s journeys to ensure compliance with the journey plan.
    • Ensuring that all necessary journey-related documentation is obtained from the Drivers and collated.
    • Escalating all exceptions including deviations from the journey plan, safety violations, and tracking system failures to Management.
    • Source Data Capture and entry into the ERP System.
    • Liaising with the Head of the Safety Department on actions for Safety Infringement and related issues.
    • Rendering of all relevant daily reports (Logistics Reports, Violation Reports, GPS Tracking reports) to Management.
    • Ensure participation in house-keeping exercise
    • Effective participation in Health, Safety, and Environment meetings
    • Report every incident, accident, risk, and opportunity in the work environment using the appropriate channels provided by the organisation.
    • Any other duties as assigned by Line Management from time to time.

    Qualifications / Experience

    • B.Sc. Degree / HND in any Academic Discipline with a minimum of second-class lower division
    • 2 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain
    • Possession of Computer Skills
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Good organisational skills
    • Excellent analytical skills
