Fire Service Personnel at Prime Spectrum Nigeria

Responsibilities include: 

• Reporting and taking directives from the Area Fire Officer and the duty NCO. Promptly responding to any emergency in the site in accordance with facility emergency response plan, to safeguard lives and mitigate damage to equipment and the environment. This shall be under the directive of the duty NCO. 
• Being responsible for all on-site fire safety equipment, and thus must carry out daily checks and tests of all fire safety equipment deployed to fire cover site, and ensure equipment are available, operational and ready always to support hot work activities. 
• Regularly inspect and test installed active and passive fire protection systems such as; Fire emergency exit doors, emergency lights, fire detection and alarm systems fire (CO2) deluge system, sprinklers, emergency exit directional signs and lights, etc. Service portable tools: like hoses, pumps, etc. and carry out the weekly tests of the equipment. 
• Implementation of fire equipment maintenance, test procedures, emergency response procedures, etc. and ensure compliance. First line inspection of fire trucks/equipment, portable fire pumps at the fire stations i.e. ensuring that the vehicles and equipment are always in a state of readiness for call-out purposes. 
• Firemen shall respond promptly to any emergency in the facility in accordance with facility emergency response plan in a safe and professional method to save lives, mitigate damage by fire under the directive of the duty NCO. 
• Firemen shall ensure safe evacuation of personnel from facility during fire and other related emergency conditions in liaison with wardens, security, Medical and HSE personnel, in accordance with the facility emergency response plan. 
• Firemen shall be detailed by the duty NCO with appropriate firefighting equipment as fire watches at helipad and sites where critical activities are taking place. Fireman driver shall on the instruction of the duty NCO drive the truck or any other motorized firefighting equipment to sites for the purposes as directed.

All personnel must be: 

• Able to effectively communicate with workers, including alerting personnel when a fire has progressed beyond the incipient stage. 
• Physically capable of performing the physical demands necessary for fire watch duties; and 
• Aware of their responsibilities as a fire watch. o Shall be physically and medically fit. 
• Knowledgeable in providing emergency first aid. 
• Able to communicate in English Language.
• Personnel shall not be above 35 years.
• Service Location is Port Harcourt and Offshore.
