As the Finance Officer working with other stakeholders, you will provide support to the management oversight to ensure accuracy and integrity of all bank reconciliations and other business office operations including fixed assets and petty cash monitoring, and safeguarding of company’s assets.
The functions are as summarized below:
Carry out weekly bank reconciliations including POS Payments across all the company’s bank account
Ensure that all reconciling transactions are reconciled before the end of each month
All Reversed POS transactions are communicated to stakeholders – Cashiers, Financial Accountant and FC as at when noted for prompt resolutions
Manage all petty cash accounts with different stakeholders within the company and ensure adherence to all petty cash polices
Work with asset tagging companies and ensure that all assets are tagged, ensuring that all new assets are tagged on a monthly/quarterly basis
Updating the company’s fixed asset register with the asset tag numbers and updating when there is any disposal.
Support month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings for the company’s fixed assets and when any tax audit is being carried out
Create and monitor a system of control, procedures, and form a record of fixed assets and all relevant schedules in the company’s ERP and also in preparation for the audit
Ensure that the company is following all financial regulations and compliant with all laws and regulations as it affects the company
Work with internal and external auditors for different compliance and regulatory exercise
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related course
