    Financial Controller

    Job Profile:

    • As the Financial Controller, you hold the top financial position in the organization. This position is responsible for tracking cash flow, financial planning, analyzing the company’s financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing strategic directions working with other members of the Executive Committee and Board Committees

    The functions are as summarized below:

    • Provide financial direction, planning and accounting for the business, covering short term and long term financial goals of the organization
    • Oversee the commercial decision making from margin analysis, pricing analysis etc.
    • Provide financial advisory to the management to guide formulation of the financial policy and business strategy; ensures that all financial policies, procedures, and systems are in place
    • Fundraise for the company looking at the optimal best value proposition of debt and equity.
    • Ensures that optimal liquidity is available to deliver business plans by allocating resources, manage cash flow and advise on financial and business risks.
    • Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to currency and interest rates on the company’s cash flows and borrowings
    • Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short and long range planning
    • Maintain an efficient system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities and provide support for regulatory reporting
    • Review and recommend changes to investment policies based on market conditions
    • Evaluate, develop and implement cash management system to optimize efficiencies
    • Manage relationship with financial service providers
    • Evaluate alternative long term borrowings strategies and make recommendations in accordance with the company’s capital structure guidelines
    • Monitors all financial activities for the Company for optimal running of the business
    • Develops plans, budgets, forecasts and financial results to guide management decisions by forecasting requirements, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action with focus on return on investment
    • Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting in line with statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirements.
    • Ensure adequate controls are installed and maintained to cover all financial transactions including safe guiding the company’s assets
    • Oversee the finance and accounting professionals who perform operational functions
    • Reporting to CEO and Board Committees.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of First Degree in Accounting or related course
    • Professional certification like ICAN is required

    Financial Accountant

    Job Profile:

    • As the Financial Accountant working with other stakeholders, you will provide management oversight to ensure accuracy and integrity of business office operations including taxes, payables, and safeguarding of company’s assets.

    The functions are as summarized below:

    • Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition working with other stakeholders
    • Research technical accounting issues for compliance and its application to company’s transactions
    • Support month-end and year-end close process
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
    • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
    • Provision of necessary supervision over the payables function.
    • Create and monitor a system of control, procedures, and form a record of fixed assets and all relevant schedules in the company’s ERP and also in preparation for the audit
    • Document and maintain all support on the costing drivers and pricing on key new opportunities
    • Ensure that the company is following all financial regulations and compliant with all laws and regulations as it affects the company
    • Provide support in the review of contracts to ensure alignment with required standards
    • Work with internal and external auditors for different compliance and regulatory exercises

    Requirements

    • First degree in Accounting or related course.
    • Professional certifications like ICAN is an added advantage

    Account Payable Officer

    Job Profile:

    • As the Accounts Payable Officer working with all stakeholders, you are responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

    The functions are as summarized below:

    • Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
    • Perform day-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable data.
    • Carry out periodic reconciliations to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted in the company’s ERP
    • Verify and investigate discrepancies if any, by reconciling vendors' accounts and monthly vendor statements
    • Be very conversant with the applicable transaction taxes and deductions to mitigate and avoid any potential leakage or liabilities to the company
    • Keeping track of all payments and expenditures both internal and external
    • Maintaining historical records
    • Work with other finance team and stakeholders in line with the company’s finance processes and procedures.
    • Support month-end and year-end close process
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

    Requirements

    • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or related course
    • Professional Certification like ICAN is required

    GL Accountant

    Job Profile:

    • As the GL Accountant working with other stakeholders, you will provide management oversight to ensure accuracy and integrity of all accounting transactions inputted into the company’s ERP for appropriate business accounting.

    The functions are as summarized below:

    • Preparing and entering all Journal entries into the into the company’s ERP.
    • Reconciling all general ledger accounts, comparing such to other records to ensure accuracy
    • Maintaining financial records ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date
    • Support month-end and year-end close process
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
    • Work with the Financial Accountant to have a record of fixed asset and all relevant schedules in the company’s ERP and also in preparation for the audit
    • Document and maintain all support documents for easy retrieval during any audit process
    • Ensure that the company is following all financial regulations and compliant with all laws and regulations as it affects the company
    • Work with internal and external auditors for different compliance and regulatory exercise

    • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting

    Finance Officer

    Job Profile:

    • As the Finance Officer working with other stakeholders, you will provide support to the management oversight to ensure accuracy and integrity of all bank reconciliations and other business office operations including fixed assets and petty cash monitoring, and safeguarding of company’s assets.

    The functions are as summarized below:

    • Carry out weekly bank reconciliations including POS Payments across all the company’s bank account
    • Ensure that all reconciling transactions are reconciled before the end of each month
    • All Reversed POS transactions are communicated to stakeholders – Cashiers, Financial Accountant and FC as at when noted for prompt resolutions
    • Manage all petty cash accounts with different stakeholders within the company and ensure adherence to all petty cash polices
    • Work with asset tagging companies and ensure that all assets are tagged, ensuring that all new assets are tagged on a monthly/quarterly basis
    • Updating the company’s fixed asset register with the asset tag numbers and updating when there is any disposal.
    • Support month-end and year-end close process
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
    • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings for the company’s fixed assets and when any tax audit is being carried out
    • Create and monitor a system of control, procedures, and form a record of fixed assets and all relevant schedules in the company’s ERP and also in preparation for the audit
    • Ensure that the company is following all financial regulations and compliant with all laws and regulations as it affects the company
    • Work with internal and external auditors for different compliance and regulatory exercise
