Responsibilities

• Design Development: Conceptualize and create fashion designs that align with brand aesthetics and current market trends.
• Material and Color Selection: Source and select appropriate fabrics, materials, and colors for each design, considering both aesthetics and functionality.
• Pattern Making: Develop and create patterns that translate design concepts into tangible garments.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, production, and marketing, to ensure cohesive and successful product launches.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality throughout the design and production process, ensuring that final products meet brand expectations.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to inform design decisions.

Qualifications

• Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio showcasing a range of fashion designs, demonstrating creativity, technical skill, and an understanding of diverse styles.
• Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of fashion industry trends, fabrics, and production processes.Pattern Making Skills:
• Strong pattern-making skills are needed to bring design concepts to life for the students.
• Education:Vocational Certificate/ HND /Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a fashion designer with a minimum of 2 years in the fashion industry.
