Farm Driver at Willers Solutions

Our client; a reputable firm in the MANUFACTURING sector is looking to fill the role of a FARM DRIVER

SALARY: 45K NET

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick up and drive staffs to and from the farm premises and corporate office daily
• Assist in loading and offloading farm products daily
• Ensure the vehicle and seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
• Maintain minimum speed while driving at all times to ensure safety
• Supply farm products to vendors in timely manner
• Ensure the vehicle has sufficient diesel/fuel at all times
• Notify the Farm Manager/Supervisor of vehicle repairs or servicing
• Count feeds supplied to ensure feed tallies with quantity, type and brand name of feed ordered
• Ensure feeds and sawdust are properly kept in clean and dry surfaces.
• Ensure bus documents / papers are renewed before expiration
• Regularly check the bus tires, lights, oil and do other basic maintenance
• Obey traffic laws, state and federal transit regulations
• Account for all passengers and goods before living any location
• Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
• Offload and load feeds and sawdust in designated areas as advised by Farm Manager/Supervisor
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by Farm Manager/Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED.
• A relevant driver’s license.
• A completed apprenticeship or experience in a similar role.
• The ability to carry out duties unsupervised, in harsh weather conditions and during irregular hours when required.
• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Superb health and safety knowledge.
• The ability to identify and react appropriately to hazards.
• Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment.
• Experience performing maintenance on tractors and other farming equipment.
