    Facility Officer

    Job Purpose

    • The Facility Officer is responsible for ensuring that the gym facility is safe, clean, fully functional, and well-maintained at all times.
    • The role oversees daily facility operations, equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and vendor coordination to deliver a high-quality experience for members and staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure all equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are in optimal working condition.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the gym facility.
    • Conduct routine inspections of gym equipment, workout areas, locker rooms, and common spaces.
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and facility assets.
    • Supervise cleaning and security personnel to ensure effective service delivery and adherence to standards.
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
    • Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures within the facility.
    • Ensure all emergency equipment and safety systems are functional and accessible.
    • Report, document, and follow up on incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues.
    • Supervise cleaning staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas.
    • Monitor and enforce cleaning schedules for gym floors, equipment, restrooms, locker rooms, and reception areas.
    • Ensure availability of adequate cleaning supplies and materials at all times.
    • Liaise with external vendors and service providers for repairs and maintenance.
    • Supervise contractors during maintenance and installation activities.
    • Ensure vendors comply with agreed service levels, quality standards, and timelines. Monitor the condition, usage, and lifecycle of gym equipment and facility assets.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in facility supervision, preferably within a gym, hospitality, or service environment.
    • Knowledge of facility maintenance, safety procedures, and equipment management.
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
