    Facility Officer

    Purpose: Monitor health and safety, assess risk, and design strategies to reduce potential hazards within the firm.

    Minimum Qualification Requirements Education:

    • HND or Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business administration or related field
    • Professional Certificate in Facility Management will be an added advantage

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Inspect the firms’ infrastructures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
    • Overseeing building projects, renovations, or refurbishments
    • Overseeing and agreeing contracts and vendors for services
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors
    • Ensuring that basic facilities are well maintained with a preventative and diagnostic maintenance schedule.
    • Planning and coordinating the use of the facility for special functions such as conferences and events
    • Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, and security to ensure compliance with Kenna Partners safety standards
    • Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the firm’s facilities
    • Checking the agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiency
    • Respond to maintenance and complaints and concerns raised by property occupants.
    • Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
    • Drafting reports and making written recommendations.
    • Work with other departments within the organisation to get maximum returns

    EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

    • Proven work experience in Facility Management
    • Knowledge of safety guidelines
    • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
    • Excellent verbal/written skills, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent time-management and organisational skills
    • Ability to analyse problems and make sound operational decision
    • A strong personal commitment to the values of the Firm
    • Skilled at prioritising and organising work of self and others.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION

    • Individual must be results orientated and highly self-motivated,
    • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
    • Excellent organisation skills to manage multiple facility projects
