As the Facility and HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety compliance of the company's facilities.
You will oversee health, safety, and environmental protocols while also managing infrastructure, space planning, and regulatory requirements.
Your role is key to ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment across company sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee facility operations, maintenance, and asset management to ensure safe and efficient work environments.
Implement, monitor, and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards in compliance with local and international regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; track and report findings with corrective action plans.
Coordinate with service providers and contractors to ensure quality and timely execution of facility repairs and projects.
Develop, review, and update HSE policies, emergency response plans, and facility maintenance schedules.
Train staff on HSE protocols and promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
Monitor environmental practices and sustainability initiatives within the company premises.
Maintain accurate documentation related to facility operations and HSE compliance.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
Certifications: NEBOSH, HSE Level I–III, or related safety and facility management certifications.
Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas or Industrial Sector.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian safety laws and environmental regulations.
Strong knowledge of HSE laws and Facility management.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and facility/HSE management software.
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
