Carrying out safety risk assessments prior to starting a new project.
Reviewing all work procedures and ensuring they meet industry safety standards.
Preparing and filing reports for accidents and other safety breaches.
Staying up to date with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ensuring safe installation of equipment.
Conducting in-house training sessions on health and safety awareness.
Tracking incident metrics and applying findings.
Participate in training and professional development activities.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives by working with production team.
Controls downtime by informing workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Develop and establish a culture of compliance and safety in the workplace by preparing and enforcing policies
Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and ensure compliance with the law
Participate in periodic self-audits conducted by the Corporate Compliance Department
Recommend solutions, improvement opportunities or preventive measures
Serve as a coach and mentor for less experienced staff.
Requirements
As a minimum he shall have 5 years’ extensive experience in safety management, risk assessment operations management and quality control in the oil and gas industry.
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience of working with an international E&C company.
In dept knowledge of safety regulations ensuring compliance with all relevant codes
Knowledge of relevant software package.
Strong communication skills and is able to establish relationship with key stakeholders
Effective negotiation skills for managing contracts, change orders, and cost-related issues with suppliers and contractors.
