The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil and piling projects across Nigeria.
The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and cross-cultural communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with international standards, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
Ensure compliance with HSE standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements
Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior management
Identify and mitigate project risks and delays
Supervise site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and performance
Ensure accurate documentation, including project logs, change orders, and as-built records
Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and team performance
Support local team development through mentorship and knowledge transfer
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil/piling/infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years in Africa or similar environments
Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar projects
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, project controls, and international construction standards
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent project management tools
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is an advantage
Willingness to relocate and work in challenging environments
