Expatriate Project Manager at Jite Projekts Limited

Job Summary

• The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil and piling projects across Nigeria.
• The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and cross-cultural communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with international standards, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements
• Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior management
• Identify and mitigate project risks and delays
• Supervise site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and performance
• Ensure accurate documentation, including project logs, change orders, and as-built records
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and team performance
• Support local team development through mentorship and knowledge transfer

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil/piling/infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years in Africa or similar environments
• Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar projects
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, project controls, and international construction standards
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent project management tools
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is an advantage
• Willingness to relocate and work in challenging environments
