Electrician, Golden Penny Foods – Nigerian Eagle Flour Mills at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

Purpose

• To install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted depot operations in line with organisational productivity objectives.

The Job​

• Carry out maintenance and repair of electrical machines and systems to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspection of machinery and submit detailed reports to the Milling Engineer.
• Collect required materials from stores to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Record and monitor electrical equipment readings for analysis and performance evaluation.
• Wire and maintain electrical panels according to specifications to prevent electrical hazards and fire risks.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas through proper housekeeping practices.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and repair requests to ensure operational continuity.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and FMN Lifesaving Rules.
• Report all faults, safety violations, and behavioural risks to the Safety Department and relevant supervisors.

 Qualification

• 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English/ NABTEB, or Trade Test Grade I to III and OND in Electrical Engineering or related field

Experience:​​​

• Minimum of two years cognate experience in electrical maintenance or industrial operations.

The Person Must:​ ​

• Be technically skilled in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrate strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
• Be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals.
• Be able to respond quickly and effectively to emergency breakdown situations.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in wiring and installation.
