Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electrician who can handle electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across the farm. The ideal candidate must have strong experience working on diesel generators, rewinding recoils, repairing pumping machines, maintaining electrical equipment, and supporting general farm maintenance operations to ensure smooth daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment across the farm
• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out effective repairs
• Maintain electrical panels, switches, breakers, sockets, and lighting systems
• Ensure all electrical systems operate safely and efficiently

Generator Maintenance

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair diesel generators
• Perform routine generator maintenance including oil checks, filter replacement, and battery inspection
• Diagnose generator faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime
• Monitor generator performance and fuel efficiency

Pumping Machine Repairs

• Repair and maintain water pumping machines and irrigation pumps
• Troubleshoot pump failures and carry out preventive maintenance
• Ensure continuous water supply for farm operations

Recoil Rewinding & Machine Repairs

• Rewind recoils for farm equipment and small machines
• Repair electrical motors and other farm electrical machines
• Service and maintain hand tools and power tools used on the farm

General Farm Maintenance

• Attend to general maintenance needs across the farm
• Support repairs of infrastructure such as water systems, fences, and utility systems
• Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns and maintenance issues
• Ensure proper maintenance records are kept for all repairs and servicing

Requirements

• Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, or relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience as an electrician and generator technician
• Strong knowledge of diesel generator repairs and servicing
• Experience in rewinding recoils and repairing pumping machines
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical machines and motors
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to safety and maintenance standards
• Experience working in a farm or industrial environment is an added advantage
