Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join our team in Port Harcourt.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical faults.
• Repair, replace, and maintain faulty electrical components, motors, pumps, machines, and mechanical systems.
• Carry out installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment failures and maintenance needs.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and mechanical schematics.
• Ensure machines and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, equipment faults, and spare parts used.

Requirements

• OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician or in a similar technical maintenance role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and mechanical breakdowns effectively.
• Ability to use electrical and mechanical testing and diagnostic tools.
• Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, oil & gas, engineering, or production environment.
• Knowledge of motors, pumps, compressors, generators, control panels, and other industrial equipment.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs and automated systems will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
