Regulate and control the flow of effluent through the plant by operating and adjusting treatment plant pumps, motors, blowers, and other equipment to maintain proper plant operations.
Mix and add treatment chemicals and ensure adequate chemical application according to regulations and guidelines.
Maintain, compile, and update plant operations logs, gauge readings, and reports during assigned shift
Collect and document liquid and solid samples and perform a variety of routine water quality laboratory tests; work closely with the laboratory on testing processes; monitor laboratory results
Assist in periodic maintenance work, including disassembly and repair of pumps, valves, flow meters, and other plant equipment
Perform general plant facility maintenance, oil, grease, and clean equipment
Participate in the development of goals and procedures for wastewater treatment activities
Maintain factory cleanliness & orderliness at all times.
Perform related duties as required
Carry out continuous plant improvement program
To identify and rate aspects of the departmental activities and develop programs where necessary, to help control those aspects that could have adverse impacts on the environment.
