    Early Years Educator – Toddler

    We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Early Years Educator to join our team, working with toddlers aged 15 months and above.

    This is a rewarding opportunity to nurture children at a crucial stage of their development—helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Must be resident in Ibadan, with the ability to easily commute to Jericho
    • Minimum qualification: B.Ed / B.A / B.Sc / HND / PGDE in English, Early Childhood Education, or a related field, obtained from a reputable university
    • A minimum of 2 years’ post-NYSC Nursery teaching experience.
    • Knowledge of the British Curriculum and EYFS is highly desirable; however, candidates with proven experience in childcare and a willingness to apply EYFS principles will also be considered
    • Strong understanding of child development within the 15 months+ age range
    • Excellent command of spoken and written English
    • professional, caring and safety-conscious approach to childcare
    • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual children
    • Confidence in engaging children through play-based learning, supporting their social, emotional and educational development
    • Skilled in creating stimulating classroom and outdoor activities that promote independence and exploration
    • Ability to produce and maintain high-quality, age-appropriate displays in the learning environment
    • Clear understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety in early years settings
    • Demonstrates high standards of personal and professional conduct
    • Proficient in basic IT skills (MS Word and internet use) to support lesson delivery and record keeping
    • Displays patience, stamina and a good sense of humour to keep up with lively toddlers

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities across the EYFS curriculum
    • Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
    • Support toddlers with feeding, hygiene and toileting routines, encouraging independence
    • Observe, record and assess children’s progress and development to contribute to individual learning journeys
    • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to ensure consistent care and learning
    • Foster independence, self-help skills and a love of learning through play and exploration

    Salary and Benefits

    • Salary: ₦100,000 – ₦120,000 per month (depending on experience)
