Deputy Managing Director at AACE Food Processing & Distribution Limited

JOB SUMMARY:

• The Deputy Managing Director reports directly to the Managing
• Director and is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Operations function of AACE Foods.
• He or she will ensure that all units (Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Quality and Sales) function effectively and achieve all Organisational objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

He or she will be:

Accountable and responsible for:

• Providing inputs to the company’s strategic plans and objectives in accordance with organizational strategy.
• Monitoring and improving operating systems and implementing strategies to improve cohesion of cross-functional processes for overall business effectiveness.
• Overseeing the development and effectiveness of the company route to market operations for all domestic business concerning marketing and sales activity
• Analysing operations and recommending areas for process improvement

Accountable for:

• Ensuring that timely performance reports and analysis of the business are available and effective.
• Setting and reviewing annual budgets and schedule allocations

Responsible for:

• Ensuring that department operations are cost effective and in alignment with agreed quality specifications
• Aggressively managing capital investment and expenses to ensure the company achieves targets relative to growth and profitability
• Maintaining and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Overseeing the measurement of staff performance and competence level required for operations, including accountability for high level recruitment.
• Overseeing production and engineering improvements and new product launches

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Degree in business administration or related field (An MBA/MSc. is an advantage).
• Appropriate previous experience as an operations manager in manufacturing industry and or in senior management position

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Understand the key workings of a P&L and cash flow statement
• Excellent (and demonstrated) people skills, communication skills and ability to lead teams effectively.
• Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
• Ability to forecast and prepare budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute strategies leading to operational excellence.
