    Data Centre Power System Technician

    • The Data Centre Power System Technician is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted power supply to all data centre systems by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and power infrastructure. The technician plays a key role in maintaining uptime, system reliability, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and maintain data centre electrical systems including UPS, PDUs, generators, ATS, and switchgear.
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all power-related infrastructure.
    • Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, battery banks, and grounding systems.
    • Respond promptly to power faults, alarms, or system failures to minimize downtime.
    • Support installation and commissioning of new power systems and components.
    • Document maintenance activities, system configurations, and equipment logs.
    • Collaborate with vendors and contractors on system upgrades or repairs.
    • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
    • Participate in capacity planning and power load management.
    • Provide 24/7 on-call support as required by operational schedules.

    Requirements:

    • HND/B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience in electrical or data centre power systems maintenance.
    • Strong knowledge of UPS systems, generators, batteries, and electrical distribution.
    • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
    • Experience with power monitoring tools and building management systems (BMS).
    • Good understanding of safety and compliance standards (NFPA, ISO, etc.).
    • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
