Job Overview

• We are looking for a Data Analyst to own 3 critical levers: fraud prevention, revenue assurance, and growth optimization. You won't just report the numbers; you will hunt down anomalies, flag money launderers, and tweak our economy to ensure every Naira and Dollar is accounted for.
• This is not a “just build dashboards” role. You’ll be expected to find problems, quantify them, propose fixes, and measure impact.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Detect & Destroy: Build SQL queries and Python scripts to detect patterns of collusion, bot farming, bonus abuse, and structuring (smurfing) in real-time.
• Automated Alerting: Design and implement a "Early Warning System" that flags suspicious withdrawals or gameplay behavior before the money leaves the building.
• Compliance Monitoring: Track high-velocity low-value transactions to ensure we aren't being used for money laundering, ensuring compliance with our AML frameworks.
• Leakage Control: Reconcile transaction logs daily. If the Payment Gateway says we received $5,000 but our DB says $4,950, you are the one who finds the missing $50.
• Economy Balancing: Analyze the "Rake" and "Entry Fees." Are we giving away too much in Bonus Cash? Is the margin on the $1 tournament sustainable? You will do the math to tell us.
• Experimentation: Run A/B tests on deposit offers and withdrawal flows to maximize LTV without increasing risk.

Preffered Experience:

• Strong SQL skills (non-negotiable). Ability to write complex, optimized queries to dig through millions of transaction rows.
• Strong spreadsheet skills (advanced formulas, modeling, analysis)
• Strong Python/R skills for scripting. You can write a script to automate a daily risk report or trigger a Slack alert when a metric spikes.
• Solid understanding of: Funnels, cohorts, retention, LTV, and statistical concepts (not academic, but practical)
• Experience working with product analytics, revenue analytics, and fraud/risk/abuse detection systems
• Experience with visualization tools like Metabase, Tableau, or Mixpanel/Amplitude/PostHog.
• Consumer app/Gaming experience. You understand metrics like GGR (Gross Gaming Revenue), NGR (Net Gaming Revenue), RTP (Return to player), and ARPU.
