Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated cyber-security professional to join our team and contribute to training our growing list of cyber-security students. This position is responsible for teaching, providing instruction, guidance, and support to individuals or groups seeking to learn and develop their skills in the field of cybersecurity and related courses face-to-face (on-site) and/or online as available and assigned in accordance with course competencies and syllabus

Curriculum Development:

• Design and develop curriculum materials, including lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and assessments, to cover a wide range of cybersecurity topics.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.

Instruction and Training:

• Deliver engaging and effective cybersecurity training sessions to students or participants.
• Use various teaching methods, such as lectures, hands-on labs, workshops, and online resources, to cater to different learning styles.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging active participation and discussion.

Skill Development:

• Provide one-on-one or group coaching to help students improve their practical cybersecurity skills, including ethical hacking, incident response, network security, and more.
• Offer guidance on the use of cybersecurity tools and technologies.

Assessment and Feedback:

• Assess students' progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement.
• Adjust teaching methods and materials based on assessment results.

Mentorship:

• Offer guidance and mentorship to students interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity, helping them set goals and develop a career path.
• Share insights into the cybersecurity industry, job opportunities, and certifications.

Job Requirement

• A Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (a Master's Degree is a plus).
• Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• Resident in Abuja and available for immediate resumption.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in cybersecurity practices, tools, and technologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
• Prior teaching or training experience is preferred but not mandatory.
