    Cyber Security Manager

    Job Purpose:

    • The Cyber Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the organization’s cyber security strategy, policies, and procedures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves leading the cyber security team, managing security incidents, and collaborating with other departments to mitigate risks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Cyber Security Strategy & Policy Development:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive cyber security strategy aligned with organizational goals.
    • Create and update cyber security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of security policies and make recommendations for improvements.

    Risk Management:

    • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats to the organization’s information systems.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and incident response plans.
    • Collaborate with IT and other departments to assess and improve security measures.

    Incident Response & Management:

    • Lead the incident response team in identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage security breaches and ensure timely resolution.
    • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future response efforts.

    Team Leadership & Development:

    • Manage and mentor the cyber security team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
    • Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively protect the organization’s assets.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members.

    Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Implement and maintain security monitoring tools to detect and respond to potential threats.
    • Generate reports on cyber security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance metrics for senior management and stakeholders.
    • Stay updated on emerging threats and industry trends, adjusting security strategies as needed.

    Training & Awareness:

    • Develop and deliver cyber security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security.
    • Collaborate with HR to integrate security training into onboarding and ongoing professional development.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

    • Number of security incidents and breaches
    • Time taken to detect and respond to security incidents
    • Compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Employee participation in security training programs
    • Results of security audits and assessments

    Skills & Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred.

    Experience:

    • Proven experience in cyber security management or a related role, with a strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices.
    • Experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.

    Skills:

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

    Preferred:

    • Experience with cloud security, network security, and risk management frameworks.
    • Familiarity with security compliance audits and assessments.
