Drive Risk management strategies to deliver profitable growth of existing portfolio and new products in lending.
Partner with all stakeholders to discover, define, assess, and document business needs and requirements.
Analyse and appraise Individual credit requests in accordance with approved policies and procedures to ensure that credit exposures are created subject to stipulated guidelines (fulfilling conditions for disbursement or deferrals obtained)
Responsible for providing support, direction, credit Information, and loan policies and procedures to ensure the overall quality of the Bank’s lending portfolio
Monitor the strict adherence to credit-related regulations (Single obligor limits, aggregate large exposures etc.)
Timely review and approval/rejection of credit requests
Perform reviews for renewals/assessment of existing facilities' performance and other credit-related requests
Establish connection and credibility while working on behalf of the Risk team and support Risk Analytics-related requests across all aspects of the product life cycle.
Proactively bringing new ideas to the table relating to business questions, analytics approaches, datasets and ways of working.
Assessing opportunities, understanding behaviour, testing hypotheses with data analysis
Communicate analysis, relevant trends and operational performances to internal as well as external stakeholders and across the business
Forecasting and scenario planning to create a data-driven performance from historical and current data
Present insights to stakeholders & senior management, translating analysis into the 'so what?' and identifying possible actions to take as a result.
Presenting data in a clear and easy to comprehend manner, using visualization tools (Tableau), data warehouse (Bigquery)
Preferred Experience,Qualification and Skills
A University Degree in Economics, Finance, or any other discipline.
A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
About 5 years of banking experience with adequate knowledge of credit risk management.

Should possess great written and verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively with others
Ability to lead and motivate a team
You have a high level of SQL/Excel Proficiency - You're good at quickly getting a grasp of any dataset that you're working with & support other analyststo do so. Python/R is a plus.
You have a good understanding of the business - you quickly identify which metrics are relevant for an area and anticipate which data projects will add value.
You have a good track record of delivering insight and actionable recommendations in an analytical role, preferably in the banking or fintech industry.
You have strong data visualization skills, including knowledge of self-serve tools like Looker, Tableau or similar.
You're a self-starter - you take the initiative in spotting opportunities and finding ways to solve challenges with data.
