Creative Writer / Researcher at BantuPage Ltd

We are looking for a creative writer to take over the writing of articles on our website and all social media platforms. You will have an error-free to-do capacity and command of the English language. There would be zero tolerance for improper usage of the English language.

We seek to hire a suitable candidate to fill this position. A writer/researcher who will look deep into their creative mind, connect with our foundation as a company, and come up with continuous organic content penned down in a very captivating manner, which we will then transform into short videos/plays and other content to feed our audiences on the various social media platforms, especially YouTube. The ideal candidate should be an ardent reader, have a flawless command of the English language (without putting up a fake foreign accent), be a creative writer, and have a great understanding of geopolitics, social media, and the entertainment industry. 

We will provide you with topics, some of which you will have to come up with yourself; this is where your creativity comes into play. The topics may not be about Nigeria; they often are not about Nigeria. You will have a good understanding of social media. Be camera-friendly, as you may need to present some of your work on camera both in the studio and in public.

No remote option is offered. 5-day office attendance Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Research stories that reflect our mission as a company, and putting them down in a creative or academic script.
• Write articles on our website and all social media platforms.
• Promote content on social media
• Generate random captions to go with our posts on the various social media platforms.
• Write up stories on our documentaries, short films, skids, and other impromptu shoots.
• Be actively engage with our social media platforms to ensure up-to-date interaction with our audience and posts.
• Ensure frictionless correlatioon between our posts on the various platforms.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a content writer
• No religious fanatic, preferably, irreligious
• Standardised English proficiency is non-negotiable
• Creative Personality
• A good storyteller
• An avid reader
• Knowledge of Nigeria, Africa, and the world
• Trackable record of previously written articles and stories would be beneficial
• Good knowledge of social media
• Politically inclined with a broad knowledge of the world
• Some knowledge of cameras would be a benefit
• Video editing skills will be a bonus
• Knowledge of Canva / other Editing interfaces would also be a bonus
